Hayden’s Game Days

Hayden Solomons was the most enthusiastic football fan you could ever meet. Hayden and his wife Robyn, son Max and daughter Halle, all looked forward to every Philadelphia Eagles game, his favourite team. When we lost Hayden to cancer on August 2, 2020, it left his family, friends and entire professional network grieving and wondering how we could adequately build his legacy. His larger-than-life personality, charm and uplifting spirit must live on.

To commemorate the life and immeasurable success of Hayden Solomons, Aird & Berlis along with Crestpoint Real Estate Investments Ltd. asked their communities to make a donation to cancer research and chose ICRF Toronto as their charity of choice! These donations were made on Hayden’s game days!

Hayden’s Game Days started on Monday, November 22 and ran until Sunday, November 28 when the Philadelphia Eagles played the New York Giants.

We are beyond proud to announce that we have now raised just over $51,000! Thank you to Crestpoint Real Estate Investments Ltd. and Aird & Berlis for donating $20,000 as sponsors of the initiative.

A message from Robyn Solomons:

In the Solomons family, cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles was as important as observing our religion. We all knew Sunday was a day where Hayden, myself, Max and Halle, and even our dog Sammy, would be together in our Eagles clothing watching football all day. One of our greatest moments was when Hayden surprised us by taking us to Super Bowl 52, where the Eagles defeated Tom Brady and the New England Patriots and won their first Super Bowl. A charity event involving football could not be a more fitting way to remember Hayden and commemorate his legacy. It is critically important to raise money to help find a cure for this awful disease that has devastated too many families, including ours. When we lost Hayden, our world stopped, and his passing continues to affect so many others. Thank you to Aird and Berlis and Crestpoint for helping to raise money for ICRF, a cause so near and dear to our hearts. Let’s raise as much as we can to eradicate cancer once and for all.

ICRF’s mission is to continue finding treatments and cures for all forms of cancer, utilizing the unique benefits Israel and its scientists have to offer. The results of the research have a significant impact in Toronto, across Canada and throughout the world.

All funds raised during Hayden’s Game Days will be directed to the ICRF Hayden Solomons Memorial Fund.  The funds raised will be dedicated to an award named in memory of Hayden Solomons that will be introduced at the 2023 ICRF Presents event.

The answer to cancer is research.
