Dr. Neil Berinstein
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Berinstein to the ICRF Board of Directors. Dr. Berinstein is a Professor of Medicine and Immunology at the University of Toronto. He is certified in internal medicine and medical oncology in Canada and the USA. He has held multiple leadership positions over the years including Vice president Sanofi Pasteur cancer vaccines, Vice President Ludwig Institute Cancer vaccine Consortium and Director of Translational Research at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research. He is active in clinical and translational research in the areas of lymphoproliferative disorders, myeloma and cancer immunotherapy.
His clinical practice is focused on the management of patients with lymphoid malignancies and myeloma at the Odette Sunnybrook cancer center. His research interests include integrating and evaluating novel biologic basedtherapies into the standard treatments for cancer and in particular Non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His research includes using novel biologic assays to document the immune status of patients, predict response to therapy and to document immune activation systemically and in the tumor microenvironment. He is the lead principal investigator on several multicenter clinical trials. He is committed to advancing new biologic therapies for patients with cancer.
